Farm Service Agency announces new office hours for Winnebago County

Springfield, IL, March 19, 2013—The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) State Executive Director Scherrie Giamanco announced today that effective April 7, 2013, the Winnebago County FSA Office will incorporate new office hours.

The new office hours are only applicable to the Farm Service Agency and do not affect any other agency that may be collocated in the USDA Service Center.

Effective April 7, 2013, the Winnebago County FSA Office will be open for business only one day per week – Wednesday.

To initiate the farm transfer process, please contact either the Winnebago County Office at 815/965-2392 or the applicable county office that you wish to transfer your farm(s) to.

The work hours of other co-located agencies, such as NRCS, SWCD, RD, etc. will remain unchanged. Customers may continue to conduct all FSA business at the Winnebago County FSA Office on Wednesday. FSA customers wishing to have access to FSA on a full time basis will have the opportunity to transfer their farms to an adjacent county FSA Service Center. For more information regarding the revised office hours or information regarding the transfer of farms, please contact Thomas Brooks (County Executive Director) in the Stephenson County FSA Service Center at 815/235-2141 for more information.
