Brenda Turley Chosen as the FSA County Executive Director for the Henry County Office

 
COLUMBUS, OHIO -- March 21, 2013 - State Executive Director for Ohio's Farm Service Agency (FSA), Steve Maurer, would like to announce that Brenda Turley has been selected as the County Executive Director (CED) for the Henry County FSA office. Brenda will begin her new duties on March 25, 2013.

 
Brenda grew up on a farm in Wood County, which included raising corn, soybeans, wheat, and beef cattle. Growing up she was active in the FFA and was the District 1 Vice President, for The Ohio FFA Association during the 1992-1993 year. She graduated from The Ohio State University (OSU) in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy; with a minor in Agribusiness and Applied Economics. While in school, she worked as a Student Research Assistant in the weed science and crop science labs, and assisted with chemical field days for the OSU.

 
After graduating, Brenda was an Agronomist then a Grain Originator for Blanchard Valley Farmers Cooperative Inc. She then worked for Mid-Wood Inc. as an Agronomist and Grain Originator.

 
In 2002, Brenda joined the Wood County FSA as a Program Technician. She was responsible for the Supplemental Revenue Assistance (SURE) Payments, Non-Insured Crop Disaster Assistance Program (NAP), compliance, commodity and facility loan programs, Milk Income Loss Contract (MILC) program, and risk management programs. While working, she enrolled and graduated from Bowling Green State University, with a Master of Business Administration in December 2011.

 
Brenda continues to reside in Wood County and help on the farm. In her free time, Brenda enjoys watching basketball and football events, jogging, cycling, and spending time with family. She is an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomdale.
