Execute the processes necessary to determine whether the concept is a viable project. Activities included in this group are collecting historical information, determining project objectives and business needs, developing the product description, and compiling justification for the project. The project deliverables, estimates, constraints, assumptions, and requirements should also be considered in this group, but only at a high level. If the concept is approved as a project, it is formalized and the Planning process group is initiated.
