Welcome to the Connecticut FSA Homepage

Connecticut SED Marsha Jette

State Executive Director:
Marsha B. Jetté

Welcome to our Connecticut FSA website.

It is my honor to serve as FSA State Executive Director to ensure the successful program delivery of federal farm programs to Connecticut's agricultural community.

FSA's responsibilities are organized into five areas: Farm Programs, Farm Loans, Commodity Operations, Management, and State Operations. Connecticut FSA provides the state's agricultural producers with a strong safety net through the administration of farm commodity programs, and also implements ad hoc disaster programs. Additionally, we provide credit to agricultural producers who are unable to receive private or commercial credit, placing special emphasis on providing loans to beginning, minority, and women farmers.

FSA programs are delivered at the local level through locally elected County Committees charged with overseeing the activities of the agency to include carrying out the state's federal agricultural programs. These committees are a local link between the agricultural community and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). They work to make FSA agricultural programs serve the needs of local producers by applying their judgment and knowledge to make local decisions.

AND, at the forefront of our state's service to the agricultural community is our local county office staff located in Torrington, Windsor, Brooklyn, Norwich, and Wallingford, who are equipped with many years of experience, professionalism, and knowledge to best help you, the producer, in your quest to receive accurate, pertinent information to address the needs of your agricultural operation through available FSA programs.

We, the Connecticut FSA Team, look forward to serving you, on behalf of USDA.
