Welcome to the Iowa State Farm Service Agency (FSA) website. Our primary mission is to help Iowa's farmers and ranchers secure the highest possible financial assistance from USDA programs and play a vital role to the economic survival of Iowa's rural communities.
Iowa FSA is proud to continue its strong tradition of providing customer-based service to Iowa's producers.
The Iowa State Farm Service Agency (FSA) annually establishes prices for agricultural commodities that serve as a general guide for completing farm business planning. For the 2009 production cycle, corn and soybean prices are based on a model that allows flexibility in adapting to changing markets while also recognizing we are experiencing unusual volatility in corn and soybean markets. This model establishes planning prices based on November/December 2009 CBOT futures contracts, while also considering historical price levels. The formula for establishing current and typical year suggested prices is included in Iowa Notice FLP 08-02. The
IA FSA Corn & Soybean Price Update will be updated on this site at the beginning of each week to reflect planning prices that should be used as a guide for farm business planning involving FSA direct and guaranteed loan customers. Contact your local Farm Loan Manager for additional information or for a copy of Iowa Notice FLP 08-02.
