It is the policy of USDA to ensure that no person is subjected to prohibited discrimination in programs conducted by the Farm Service Agency (FSA), or programs that receive Federal financial assistance from FSA. Discrimination is prohibited on the bases of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, or because all or a part of an individual's income is derived from any public assistance program.

As a participant in or applicant for programs or activities operated or sponsored by FSA, you have a right to be treated fairly. If you believe you have been discriminated against (treated unfairly) because of your race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, or because all or a part of your income is derived from any public assistance program, you may file a discrimination complaint.

The complaint should be filed with the USDA Office of Adjudication and Compliance within 180 days of the date you became aware the alleged discrimination occurred.

You also have a right to sue in the United States District Court.
