The Principal functions of the Dairy and Multi-food Branch are to:

 
  • Purchase Evaporated Milk, Infant Formula, Instant Nonfat Dry Milk, Kosher Process Cheese, Mozzarella Cheese, Natural American Cheese (cheddar), Process Cheese, Ultra High Temperature Milk
  • Purchase Nonfat Dry Milk, Butter and Cheese under the Milk Price Support Program
  • Multi-food Contract and Multi-food Inventory disposition

 
The Master Solicitation for Commodity Procurements (MSCP) is used for the solicitation of bids and award of contracts for various commodities under domestic and foreign food assistance programs administered by the Kansas City Commodity Office (KCCO). The MSCP was effective for solicitations issued after Sep 1, 2005.

 

 
Commodity Requirements

 
KCCO will periodically issue invitations for bids (IFB) requesting particular commodities being procured. Following is a list of products with a link to the requirements for each commodity.

 
Bidders are required to read the Master Solicitation for Commodity Procurements (MSCP), IFB, and USDA Commodity Requirements.

Dairy Invitations are posted to invite qualified vendors to make offers on various dairy products. This page also includes purchases, sales, weekly purchase reports, award information, and price documents. The reports are available for six years. Bids are entered in the Domestic Electronic Bid Entry System (DEBES) or Commodity Operations System (COS/LTCS). If you sign up for all Dairy Procurement E-mail subscriptions, you will automatically be notified of release information for dairy commodities.

 

 
The Annual Solicitation/Annual Purchase Schedule shows the intended offer dates, purchase dates, deadlines for submissions, and delivery periods. The Fiscal Year 2013 Procurement Schedule will cover the period from Oct 1, 2012 through Sep 30, 2013 and was updated Sep 28, 2012.

 

 
Dairy Price Support

 
The 2008 Farm Bill reauthorized the Milk Price Support Program (MPSP) as the Dairy Product Price Support Program (DPPSP), beginning on Jan. 1, 2008 and ending Dec. 31, 2012. Click on the following links for the DPPSP Fact Sheet and Historical Data:
