The Emergency Conservation Program (ECP) helps farmers and ranchers to repair damage to farmlands caused by natural disasters and to help put in place methods for water conservation during severe drought.
Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and Environmental Assessments (EA) are documents required for public projects using federal funds. They exist to ensure that decision makers consider the effects a project might have on natural and cultural resources. They are required by the
National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the
National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA). Periods for public comment are available on all EIS and EA reports.
