Emergency Conservation Program Statistics Reports

The Emergency Conservation Program (ECP) is authorized in Title IV of the Agricultural Credit Act of 1978, as amended. The ECP provides emergency funds for sharing with farmers and ranchers the cost of rehabilitating farmland damaged by wind, erosion, floods, hurricanes, or other natural disasters, and for carrying out emergency water conservation measures during periods of severe drought. Funding for ECP is appropriated by Congress, and the Farm Service Agency (FSA) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), administers the ECP. The statistical reports for ECP contain the National and State data for all ECP practice payments made during the fiscal year and, also, cumulative data for years 1952 through 2006.
