Hi, this is Bruce Nelson, Acting Administrator of  USDA's Farm Service Agency and I'd like to remind farmers and ranchers that the nomination period for the 2011 County Committee election begins on June 15th.  Agricultural producers who participate or cooperate in an FSA program may be nominated for candidacy for the County Committee.  

Secretary Vilsack and I strongly encourage all eligible producers, from large and small farms, and especially women and minorities to make a difference in their communities this year by participating in the FSA County Committee campaign. 

All nomination forms for the 2011 County Committee election must be post marked or received in the local USDA Service Center by the close of business on Aug. 1, 2011.
