Deadline Approaching for Commodity Crop Safety Net Programs for 2024 Election, Enrollment

Farm Service Agency offices are currently accepting election and enrollment changes for the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs for the 2024 crop production season. The deadline to complete enrollment and any election change is March 15, 2024. Producers should contact their county FSA office for more information and to schedule an appointment to complete the process.

Resources Available for Producers Impacted by Recent Wildfires

Nebraska FSA reminds producers who suffered impacts due to recent wildfires of programs that may be available for assistance, such as the Livestock Indemnity Program, the Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honeybees and Farm-Raised Fish Program, and the Emergency Conservation Program. FSA Now Accepting Offers for General Conservation Reserve Program Signup

FSA offices across the state are now accepting offers from agricultural producers and private landowners for the general Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). Signup started March 4 and runs through March 29, 2024. Those interested in General CRP should contact their county FSA office to learn more. FSA Accepting Applications for Emergency Relief Program 2022

FSA offices across the state are accepting applications for the Emergency Relief Program 2022, a program designed to provide financial assistance to commodity and specialty crop producers who experienced a loss of income due to qualifying natural disasters occurring in 2022.

Beginning Farmer/Rancher Resources

Nebraska Farm Service Agency is among several Nebraska agriculture organizations that have programs designed to assist beginning farmers and ranchers as they establish their operations. You can find a listing of resources in Nebraska at nebraskabeginningfarmer.org

Nebraska FSA Farmers.gov Electronic News

FSA provides the digital Farmers.gov news service to distribute timely information on programs direct to your email inbox. It can help you remember important program deadlines and requirements so you can effectively utilize FSA programs in your farm or ranch operation. 

In addition to the newsletter, you also can sign up to receive information through our Farmers.gov text messaging service. Text messages only are issued to remind subscribers of timely, important program deadlines or other information. No more than two texts will be sent in a month, and often, it will be less than that amount. You can unsubscribe at any time.
