(LINCOLN, Nebraska, 6/29/2023) The below listed Presidential disaster declarations allow the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) to extend much-needed emergency credit to producers recovering from natural disasters through emergency loans. Emergency loans can be used to meet various recovery needs including the replacement of essential items such as equipment or livestock, reorganization of a farming operation, or to refinance certain debts. FSA will review the loans based on the extent of losses, security available, and repayment ability.

FEMA Designates South Dakota Counties as Natural Disaster Areas; Nebraska Counties Listed as Contiguous Locations

(LINCOLN, Nebraska, 6/29/2023) This Stakeholder Notification shows below the Presidential disaster declarations made to date in Nebraska that allow the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) to extend much-needed emergency credit to producers recovering from natural disasters through emergency loans. Emergency loans can be used to meet various recovery needs including the replacement of essential items such as equipment or livestock, reorganization of a farming operation, or to refinance certain debts. FSA will review the loans based on the extent of losses, security available, and repayment ability.

The triggering disaster for the three Presidential declarations listed below is severe winter storms and snowstorms beginning Dec. 12, 2022, and going through Dec. 25, 2022.
