USDA Names Trump Administration Appointees to the Wyoming Farm Service Agency State Committee

Casper, Wyo. – Jan. 14, 2026 - The USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) today announced the appointment of five leaders in agriculture to serve on the Wyoming USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) state committee.   

Members of the FSA state committee are appointed by Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins and, in support of the Trump Administration’s Farmers First commitment, members of the FSA state committee are responsible for the oversight of farm programs and county committee operations, resolving program delivery appeals from the agriculture community, maintaining cooperative relations with industry stakeholders and keeping producers informed about current FSA programs.   

Each FSA state committee is comprised of three to five members including a designated chairperson. The individuals appointed to serve on this committee for Wyoming are:  

  • Shaun Sims, Chair (Evanston) - Sims is a multi-generation sheep and cattle rancher in Uinta, Lincoln, and Sweetwater counties. He has been a tireless leader and advocate for Wyoming agriculture and has served on numerous agriculture related boards including the Wyoming Livestock Board and Wyoming Association of Conservation Districts. He is currently vice president of the Wyoming Wool Growers Association.
  • Gwendolyn Geis, Member (Gillette) –Geis is a lifelong rancher who raises sheep and cattle and produces small grains and hay. She has been a tireless advocate for the beef and sheep industries and currently serves as the Wyoming Wool Growers president. 
  • William Goolsbey, Member (Powell) – Goolsbey has a commercial cow/calf operation in Park County, Wyoming. He is also a partner in a farming operation that produces sugar beets, malting barley, oats, dry beans, forage hay, and grass seed.
  • Leslie Hendry, Member (Lysite) – Hendry is owner, partner, and bookkeeper of a cow‑calf and native hay operation in Fremont, Natrona, and Washakie counties. She has experience in livestock handling, range and grass management, irrigation, and hay production.
  • Amy Miller, Member (Wheatland) – Miller is co‑owner and operator of a ranch in Platte, Goshen, and Albany counties in Wyoming. The ranch is a multifaceted operation that includes cow‑calf and yearling herds, a custom grower feedlot, and hay and row crop production. Miller actively manages ranch operations and is also responsible for accounting functions.  

“These individuals, selected by Secretary Rollins in partnership with key stakeholders in each state, are held in high regard in the agriculture industry and are entrusted to ensure FSA programs are delivered in a manner consistent with federal farm policy and in the best interest of all agricultural producers in their state,” said FSA Administrator Bill Beam. “Their appointment to the FSA state committee is a testament to their standing in the industry and their dedication to the agriculture industry, rural America and President Trump’s America First, Farmers First policies.”
