BCAP Project Area Seven

This project area is located in all or part of 5 counties in the State of Kansas, and one county in the State of Oklahoma. The project will support the establishment of mixtures of perennial native grasses and forbs, such as Switchgrass, Big Bluestem, Illinois Bundleflower and Purple Prairie Clover to be used in the manufacturing of liquid biofuels.

FSA will allocate up to $6.2 million for implementation of this project area in FY 2011. The target enrollment in FY 2011 is 20,000 acres.

Location:

5 counties in Kansas – Morton, Grant, Haskell, Stevens, and Seward; and one county in Oklahoma – Texas.
