Sherry McCorkle was appointed by the Trump Administration to serve as the state executive director of the Florida and U.S. Virgin Islands USDA Farm Service Agency in February 2019.
Prior to her appointment, McCorkle spent a decade serving as deputy district director for U.S. Representative Thomas J. Rooney. She, along with other legislative staff and local agriculture industry officials, helped to secure funding from the USDA for producers who suffered wildfire and hurricane losses in 2017.
McCorkle also served three years as district director for U.S. Representative Tim Mahoney where she supervised the operations for the eight-county district.
McCorkle is a native of Fort Pierce, Florida. She is a former 4-H leader and has been involved in many agricultural activities in her community. She currently resides in Gainesville.
