    DES MOINES, Iowa, Nov. 29, 2017 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) State Executive Director (SED) Amanda De Jong announced today that producers who file accurate and timely reports for all crops and land uses, including failed acreage, can prevent the potential loss of FSA program benefits. Please pay close attention to the acreage reporting dates below and note the change in the reporting date for perennial forage and forage seeding for 2018.

    DES MOINES, Iowa, Nov. 29, 2017 — The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Iowa Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director, Amanda De Jong, today reminded farmers, ranchers and other agricultural producers that FSA county committee elections began Nov. 6, with the mailing of ballots. Eligible voters must return ballots to their local FSA offices by Dec. 4, 2017, to ensure that their vote is counted. Producers who have not received their ballot should pick one up at their local FSA office.

PAUL, Minn., Nov. 8, 2017 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) Acting Administrator Steve Peterson today announced that physical loss loans are available for Nobles County in Minnesota. Farm operators who have suffered major physical losses caused by hail and a tornado that occurred from Aug. 13 through Aug. 18, 2017, may be eligible for emergency loans.

    DES MOINES, Iowa, Nov. 2, 2017 –Iowa Farm Service Agency (FSA) Acting State Executive Director Bob Wegand today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will begin mailing ballots to eligible farmers and ranchers for the 2017 FSA County Committee elections on Monday, Nov. 6, 2017. Producers must return ballots to their local FSA offices by Dec. 4, 2017, to ensure that their vote is counted.
