Joe Aull was appointed by the Biden Administration to serve as the State Executive Director of the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) in Missouri in December 2021.

Aull, a lifelong Missourian, has been active in Public Service his entire career. He was an educator in four different school districts for a total of 34 years as a teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent. Most recently, he was Superintendent of the Lexington and Marshall School Districts. In 2002, Joe received the Pearce Award as the Superintendent of the Year in Missouri and in 2018, he was named a Pioneer in Education by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

After retiring from public education, Aull served in the Missouri Legislature for eight years. As a State Representative he was the Ranking Member on the House Elementary and Secondary Education Committee and served eight years on the Agriculture Policy Committee. He received awards from the Missouri Corn Growers, the Cattleman’s Association, the Pork Producers, the Missouri Farm Bureau, and numerous educational organizations.

Aull was President of the Lexington and Marshall Rotary Clubs, a member and President of the Missouri State High School Activities Association Board of Directors, and is an Elder in the Presbyterian Disciples Church.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Westminster College, and master’s and specialist degrees in educational administration from Central Missouri State University.

Aull and his wife Candee, of 27 years, live in Lexington, where he was recently Mayor. They enjoy spending time with their four adult children and four grandkids. In his spare time, he is a sports broadcaster.
