Federal Emergency Management Agency Amends Previous Presidential Major Disaster Declaration to Include Lincoln, Sarpy Counties

This amendment to previously-approved Presidential disaster declaration No. 4808 allows the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) to extend much-needed emergency credit to producers recovering from natural disasters through emergency loans. Emergency loans can be used to meet various recovery needs including the replacement of essential items such as equipment or livestock, reorganization of a farming operation, or to refinance certain debts. FSA will review the loans based on the extent of losses, security available, and repayment ability.  

Impacted Area: Nebraska 

Triggering Disaster: Severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding from May 20 to June 3, 2024

Date: This amendment was issued October 15, 2024.

Application Deadline: June 16, 2025

Primary Counties Eligible: Lincoln and Sarpy

Contiguous Counties Also Eligible: Nebraska counties also eligible for assistance as contiguous counties:  Cass, Custer, Dawson, Douglas, Frontier, Hayes, Keith, Logan, McPherson, Perkins and Saunders.
