New Federal Advisory Committee for Urban Agriculture to Meet March 23-24
SPRINGFIELD, Illinois, March 17, 2022 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will host the first public meeting of the inaugural Federal Advisory Committee for Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production on March 23-24, 2022. The public – including urban producers– is encouraged to attend.
Deadline to Apply for Physical Disaster Loans Approaching in West Virginia
ATLANTA – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is reminding businesses, private nonprofit organizations, homeowners and renters in West Viriginia affected by the severe storms, flooding, landslides, and mudslides that occurred Aug. 28-30, 2023 to apply for physical damage disaster loans by April 1 deadline. The disaster declaration covers Boone, Calhoun, Clay, Harrison, and Kanawha counties in West Virginia, which are eligible for both Physical and Economic Injury Disaster Loans from the SBA.

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 12, 2020 – Agricultural producers who have not yet completed their 2019 crop year elections for and enrollment in the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs must schedule an appointment to do so with their local USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) by Monday, March 16.
