Agency Overview

The United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Risk Management Agency (RMA), created in 1996, serves America’s agricultural producers through effective, market-based risk management tools to strengthen the economic stability of agricultural producers and rural communities. RMA is committed to increasing the availability and effectiveness of Federal crop insurance as a risk management tool.

The USDA Farm Service Agency's Mission is to equitably serve all farmers, ranchers, and agricultural partners through the delivery of effective, efficient agricultural programs for all Americans.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, through its Rural Development mission area, provides financial resources and support for rural communities, residents, and businesses. We are deeply committed to improving the economy and quality of life in rural America.

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) supports New Hampshire’s farmers and foresters by providing financial and technical resources to help them conserve soil, protect water, and provide wildlife habitat. We promote systems of conservation practices that help producers improve their operations, reduce production costs and conserve natural resources.

USDA is an equal opportunity provider, employer and lender.
