The largest agriculture exposition in the Carolinas and Virginia. A major expansion onto the midway of the NC State Fairgrounds means even more equipment, experts and ideas. Filling the NC State Fairgrounds, the show features over 500 manufacturers with expert advice and the latest farm equipment, supplies and services. Events include the FFA tractor and truck driving competitions, the annual meeting of the Tobacco Growers Association of NC, and the Southern National Draft Horse Pull  Hours are 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily. Feast Down East: Local Food Conference

Feast Down East's annual Local Food Conference brings together all those in our community who are involved in supporting and growing the local food system in Southeastern North Carolina. This includes farmers and fishermen, food retailers and establishments, foodies, advocates and community leaders. The purpose of the conference is to strengthen the activities of these groups and the relationships between them. Workshop topics include agricultural and gardening techniques, farm business skills, understanding food systems, cooking demonstrations and tastings, and food policy work.

Join North Carolina Sea Grant at a free shellfish aquaculture workshop on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Morehead City. The session, held in conjunction with the N.C. Aquaculture Development Conference, will be at Carteret Community College’s Bryant Building, at 205 College Circle.
