About

Susan Larson was appointed by the Trump Administration to serve as the state executive director of the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) in Utah in August 2025.

Larson has more than 10 years of experience working for FSA and has an in-depth understanding of the programs and services that FSA provides to farmers and ranchers. She values the lessons learned from working with agriculture operations and is passionate about providing much needed support to farmers and ranchers across Utah.

Larson and her husband, Jake, operate their family’s Centennial farm and ranch located in northern Utah. The family farm and original homestead was settled in 1884. For six generations, their family has been rooted in the land raising forage crops, managing a cow-calf operation, and carrying forward a proud ranching legacy.

Larson and her husband enjoy working side-by-side on the family farm. They have four children who are the heart of the family operation. When she’s not working with her family on the farm, she enjoys hunting, camping, fishing, and watching her kids participate in rodeos, ballgames, and dance competitions. Larson has a love for photography and capturing all four seasons of Utah’s beautiful landscapes.
