2023 Hurricane Season

Hurricane season is officially underway and lasts until November 30th. USDA encourages producers to prepare and protect their family and agricultural operations.

Please Note: Due to long standing federal law, producers should not perform any cleanup efforts until an environmental evaluation has been completed by your local county office unless there is an immediate threat to human life. Failure to comply could jeopardize a producer's payment eligibility.

For more information please visit Hurricane Preparation and Recovery Resources | Farmers.gov or contact your local USDA Service Center.
