Welcome to New York Farm Service Agency
The New York offices of the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) serve the over 33,000 farms in New York. Agriculture is a vital industry to the economy of the Empire State with over $5 billion in sales annually. FSA County Offices are located throughout the state to deliver a variety of congressionally authorized credit and commodity programs to all of New York's farmers and producers. Through the administration of these programs FSA works to increase economic opportunity and improve the quality of life for America’s farmers.
The New York FSA State Office is located in Syracuse while our 40 County Offices serve the needs of local farmers. Our staff work diligently in support of the FSA mission: equitably serving all farmers, ranchers and producers, and agricultural partners through the delivery of effective, efficient agricultural programs for all Americans. Please visit our website periodically to obtain the most up-to-date agriculture information affecting you in New York.

Application Period Open for New Revenue Based Disaster, Pandemic Assistance Programs (ERP 2 and PARP)
The application period for two new financial assistance programs, the Emergency Relief Program Phase Two (ERP 2) and the Pandemic Assistance Revenue Program (PARP), is open now through June 2, 2023. ERP 2 addresses revenue losses from natural disasters in 2020 and 2021; producers who qualified under ERP Phase 1 may also qualify for ERP Phase 2. PARP addresses revenue losses in 2020 and is designed to cover gaps in previous pandemic assistance (which was targeted at price loss or lack of market access).
Producers can learn more about these programs at these links: ERP 2 Fact Sheet; PARP Fact Sheet; Comparison of ERP 2 and PARP Fact Sheet. Supporting documentation, such as a Schedule F (Form 1040) and Profit or Loss from Farming or similar tax documents for tax years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 for ERP and calendar years 2018, 2019, and 2020 for PARP, will be important to the application process.
