    * Drought Resource Information: Many Nebraska counties are experiencing drought conditions despite some recent precipitation. Nebraska FSA county offices are implementing assistance programs, including the Livestock Forage Disaster (LFP) program, which has triggered across much of the state. LFP provides financial assistance to qualified producers who have both grazing livestock and grazing land impacted by drought. This link shows counties that have triggered for LFP in 2026. FSA will be sharing more information about LFP and other drought resources during a webinar scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, 2026, beginning at noon, CT.     *FSA Wildfire Response Resources: County FSA offices are assisting producers impacted by wildfires in the state. For an overview of programs that may be of assistance, please visit this link. For a more comprehensive look at FSA wildfire resources, go to farmers.gov and this fact sheet. Those impacted are encouraged to document losses and communicate with their county FSA office. Nebraska FSA presented information on its wildfire recovery programs during a webinar with the Center for Ag Profitability at University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Click here to view the webinar recording. FSA has opened a 60-day signup period for the Emergency Conservation Program in several counties impacted by March wildfires. This signup period runs through June 26, 2026.     * FSA County Committee Election Season Is Under Way: Nominations are now being accepted at FSA offices across Nebraska for FSA County Committee elections. The deadline to submit a nomination form is Aug. 3, 2026. For more information on the County Committee election process, visit this link. Individuals interested in learning more about FSA County Committee work, what it takes to be a candidate for election, and the requirements to vote, can tune in to a webinar on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, beginning at 12 p.m. CT.     * Base Acre Allocation Update: As of June 1, landowners are able to access their Base Acre Allocation Summary online or in their local FSA office. The review period runs through Aug. 31, 2026. Click here for more information on the Base Acre Allocation Summary review process.

    * Spring Acreage Certification is Under Way: County FSA offices are busy assisting customers with spring acreage certification, which is required to maintain eligibility for financial benefits through many FSA-administered programs. Please follow instructions from your County FSA office regarding its certification process.
